TEM’s Ballers And Wankstas Of The Week-Wild Card Edition

This last weekend was an exciting time in NFL football. There were a lot of teams that went down to the wire. And also, there were goats and there were playmakers in these big games. Without further adieu, here are the Ballers and Wankstas Of Wild Card Weekend in the NFL.

Ballers Of The Week

Matt Hasselbeck, QB, Seattle Seahawks ( 22/35, 272 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT )
Hasselbeck must have been saving his best for the playoffs. He was precise and accurate and he basically destroyed the Saints. Maybe he got a shot of Geritol to go along with the pain shot for his injured hip.

James Starks, RB, Green Bay Packers ( 23 carries, 123 yards, 0 TDs )
James Stark played better than he has all season. If he can continue his onslaught on the ground, the Packers will be even more dangerous in the playoffs.

Todd Heap, TE, Baltimore Ravens ( 10 receptions, 108 yards, 0 TDs )
Heap was the best receiver on the field. He used LB Jon McGraw all game. If he plays like this every game, the Ravens will be hard to stop and holding the Lombardi trophy at the end of the season.

Baltimore Defense
The Ravens allowed only 7 points, forced 4 turnovers and basically rendered the Chiefs offense inept the whole game. They are starting to look like the Super Bowl defense that everyone expected.

Wankstas Of The Week

Matt Cassel, QB, Kansas City Chiefs ( 9/18, 70 yards, 0 TDs, 3 INTs )
Cassel was a no show Sunday. In fact I think that was Brody Croyle out there on the field with the way he played. Cassel's first foray into the playoffs as a starting QB was a rough one.

Reggie Bush, RB, New Orleans Saints (5 carries, 12 yards, 0 TDs )
Reggie has been more known for things he does in the media than on the football field. He may want to decide to focus on his football career before he is permanently known as the former football player who's known for being in the media spotlight.

Reggie Wayne, WR, Indianapolis Colts ( 1 reception, 1 yard, 0 TDs)
Reggie Wayne visited Revis Island and got placed on lockdown. He couldn't get open and the times where he did get open, he didn't get the ball because he wasn't getting open frequently. If someone can free Reggie from Revis Island, let me know.

New Orleans Defense
The New Orleans defense faked us all out this year. We thought they were good but they were just impersonating a defense this past weekend. They were undressed by the Seahawks. The Saints defense needs to give their checks back to owner Tom Benson because they didn't earn one cent of their checks.

These are my Ballers and Wankstas of the week! If u feel some other people should be added to the list, feel free to comment.

  1. I think Reggie Wayne being thrown to only once has gotta be the most surprising at least to me. NO defence was bad too, but one pass…jees.
