TEM’s Ballers And Wankstas Of The Week- Week 13

The NFL gave all of us some good moments and some bad moments. Some true contenders continued to shine and some so-called "contenders" were proven to be pretenders. Without further adieu, here are the Ballers and Wankstas of Week 13 in the NFL.

Ballers Of The Week

Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots ( 21/29, 326 yards, 4 TDs )
Brady was once again masterful this week. His slicing and dicing of the Jets vaunted defense has now put him squarely in the NFL MVP talk. I wouldn't want to see Brady down the stretch if I'm an opponent of the Patriots.

Brandon Jacobs, RB, New York Giants ( 8 carries, 103 yards, 2 TDs)
Jacobs looked like his old self this week. He plowed through defenders while displaying great balance and athleticism. I think being the backup has humbled him. Expect him to loom large down the stretch for the Giants.

Sidney Rice, WR, Minnesota Vikings ( 5 receptions, 105 yards, 2 TDs )
Rice went wild on the Bills secondary. He displayed the skills that made him Brett Farve's number 1 target. Teams may want to look for him in the free agency market next year, provided he doesn't get the new contract he's looking for from Minnesota.

New England Defense
The New England defense look like the stifling defense of yesteryear. They forced Mark Sanchez into 3 INTs and made stops when they needed to. If the Patriots defense can keep this level of play up, the Pats will be dangerous come playoff time.

Wankstas Of The Week

Mark Sanchez, QB, New York Jets ( 17/33, 164 yards, 3 INTs )
Sanchez looked lost in New England last night. Maybe he shouldn't spend so much time modeling so he could actually focus on why he is even known: football. If Sanchez plays like that the rest of the year, he won't be able to lead the Jets out of a cardboard box let alone to the Super Bowl.

Ronnie Brown, RB, Miami Dolphins ( 16 carries, 50 yards, 0 TDs )
Ronnie Brown's inability to get going is telling me one thing: he isn't the answer. It wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't get the money he wants when his contract is up. Brown couldn't find and hit a hole if he had a flashlight in hand and arrows were pointing to the hole.

Santana Moss, WR, Washington Redskins ( 2 receptions, 24 yards, 0 TDs)
Moss has been starring in "Disappearing Acts" all year for the Redskins. I think you could find him on a milk carton faster than you could find him on the football field. He's going to have tough sledding getting a new deal to his liking next year.

Jets Defense
The Jets defense reminds me of a big dog that has no teeth: all bark and no bite. The Jets gave up 405 yards. And the troubling part is they gave up 304 of those yards up through the air to a team that has no running game to speak of. Rex may want to chill on the talking and do more coaching.

These are the Ballers and Wankstas of the week! If you feel some more people were left off, feel free to comment.

I was very impressed with Big Ben this week!

    • Even though his numbers didn’t show, he showed toughness. He was a baller this week.
