This week in the NFL was offensive. 13 QBs passed for more than 300 yards, tying an NFL record. But with all the good offensive play, there was some bad offensive play and some atrocious defensive that was played all weekend. Without further adieu, here are the Ballers and Wankstas of Week 10 in the NFL.
Ballers Of The Week
Michael Vick, QB, Philadelphia Eagles ( 20/28, 333 yards, 4 TDs; 8 carries, 80 yards, 2 TDs )
Michael Vick was unstoppable Monday night as he captivated the nation with his play. He became the first QB to have at least 300 yards passing, 50 yards rushing, 4 passing TDs and 2 rushing TDs in one game. And the scary thing is he could get better.
Roddy White, WR, Atlanta Falcons ( 12 receptions, 138 yards, 2 TDs )
Roddy was once again a one man show at receiver. He is the true definition of a number 1 receiver because he knows he is going to receive double coverage and he still produces. Chad Ochocinco may want to take notes.
Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars ( 24 carries, 104 yards, 2 TDs).
Jones-Drew was part of a dominating performance by the Jaguar offense. He sliced and diced his way through the Texan defense, running with reckless abandon.
The Denver offense ran and threw its way to 49 points against what was deemed a tough defense. The thing that was most shocking is that the Broncos got physical with the Chiefs all game long and they ran all over them.
Wankstas of The Week
Shaun Hill, QB, Detroit Lions
Hill led a sluggish and awful Lions offense on the road. He got them back in the game by throwing a TD pass late to Calvin Johnson. The Lions were down two and they had to have it or the game was over. Hill sprinted out and couldn't find anyone open. So, instead of keeping the play alive and at least trying to get the 2 points, he throws the ball out of the back of the endzone. Like my boy Chris Carter says on ESPN, "C'mon Man!!"
Carson Palmer, QB, Cincinnati Bengals ( 31/42, 292 yards, 2 TDs, 3 INTs )
Every week Palmer keeps showing me that he is the weakest link to the Bengal offense. He leads the league in interceptions returned for TDs with 10 after this performance in Indianapolis. Maybe the Bengals should start considering remaking the team again, because this team has gone as far as they are going to go.
Houston Texans Secondary
They teach you when you are younger to knock the ball down straight to the ground on a Hail Mary. Well, obviously, someone never told the Texans secondary that. This unit is the biggest problem on a terrible defense and the defense may coast Kubiak his job after this year.
Washington Redskins Defense
This blog post will be the first place that the Washington defense showed up because they never showed up last night. They looked like the defense that you play against on Madden that you light up when you have the game on rookie mode. Vick owned them.
These are my Ballers and Wanskstas for Week 10 in the NFL. If you have people you would like to add to the either list, feel free to comment.
