I know everyone is getting ready for Thanksgiving meals and sharing time with family. While you're eating the candied yams and turkey and dressing, be thankful for everyday of health. You never now when that could be taken from you.
Mike Heimerdinger of the Tennessee Titans was enjoying coaching the Titans and living out his dreams. He was the architect of a Top 10 offense and most importantly, he was coaching with his friend Jeff Fisher. Then, all of a sudden, he receives word that he has to stop coaching. No, he didn't get fired. His doctor informed him that he had cancer.
Mike Heimerdinger now has to go through chemotherapy and will not be able to coach the team for the rest of the year. QBs coach Dowell Loggain and Offensive Line coach Mike Munchak will divide Offensive Coordinating duties while Heimerdinger undergoes treatment.
We as a nation not only need to be thankful on Thanksgiving, but thankful for every day of life. So many times we take things for granted. But, let this story be a wake up call to all of you reading this. Live everyday to the fullest and seize every moment. Value your families. Let them know you love them. If you have an issue with a friend of family member, iron it out. Live for today. You never know when the moment you're in will be the last moment you have on Earth.
