TSU fights but falls to Vanderbilt

The TSU Tigers hosted the Vanderbilt Lady Commodores on Monday night as the two Nashville area colleges squared off at Gentry Center. And in the first quarter, the Lady Tigers were up for the task. Behind five points from Jazmine Young, the Lady Tigers trailed 21-15 heading into the second quarter.

As the second quarter began, the Lady Commodores began to assert their will on the game. The Tigers outscored TSU 29-11 in the second quarter as they established a 50-27 lead.

From there, the Lady Commodores never looked back, as they would win the game convincingly 106-55.

The Lady Tigers were led by freshman Deaja Richardson with a career-high 14 points. The Lady Commodores were led by sophomore Brinae Alexander with 15 points.

The Lady Tigers return to action November 30th as they take on South Alabama.
